A Small Deed maybe all you need to Succeed

Allah said in Surah Ar-Rahman
هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ
Is there any reward for good other than good?

There is a true story of an Egyptian man was travelling in a 7 seater car and at the front seat sat a man and his wife while at the back seat sat an old lady. The old lady was not comfortable due to her size so this Egyptian man tells the other in the 1st row, who was his wife to exchange his seat with the old lady. At first this man at the front refused an the Egyptian insisted several times and gave up, and thus he (himself) decided to let the old lady take his seat that was more comfortable than the seat at the back.
When the old lady sat further front and stretched her legs with relief, she made dua for this Egyptian man that Allah not deprive him of Hajj every year.
Till this day, this Egyptian man who gave up his seat has performed Hajj 32 times, and sometimes he did not even  intend to go for Hajj nor did he have the money required but found himself performing Hajj.

Ali ibn Abi Talib (R) said that Allah (SWT) has hidden 2 matter from 2 matter.
1. Allah has kept kept hidden his pleasure in a good deed and you don't know which good deed performed is pleasing to Allah (SWT)
2. Allah has kept hidden his Awliya (Friends) in between his slaves so you don't know whom of the slaves is a Wali (Friend) of Allah (SWT).

The Golden lesson being:
Do good for the sake of Allah. You just may do it to someone who is a Wali of Allah and you don't know, and that person offers a Dua that is accepted by Allah, and as a result Tawfeeq (Good Fortune) is written for you; and you do not know the reason of this Tawfeeq and Allah (SWT) guides you to reach your destination.
Everything above has been mentioned in a lecture by Shaykh Saleh Maghamsi and translated by Shaykh Sajid Ahmed Umar

Ibn Al-Mubarak said:
How often does a small deed become big due to ones intention, and how often does a big deed become small due to one's intention.

I leave you with a Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

"Whosoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Judgment. Whosoever alleviates (the lot of) a needy person, Allah will alleviate (his lot) in this world and the next. Whosoever shields a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the next. Allah will aid a slave (of his) so long as the slave aids his brother. Whosoever follows a path to seek knowledge therein, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. No people gather together in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, but tranquility and peace descends upon them, mercy envelopes them, the angels surround them and Allah makes mention of them amongst those who are with him. And whosoever is slowed down by his action will not be hastened forward by his lineage."
