A Mother's Prayer

At the time of Musa (AS), He asked Allah, "Oh Allah who will be my companion in Jannah (Heaven)?" Allah responded with, "A Butcher." After hearing this, Musa was shocked because he thought, why would a butcher be my companion in Jannah? Musa than asked Allah, "where can I find this man?" Allah instructed that he's in such and such place. So Musa goes to see this man and he sees him at his shop cutting Meat, and Musa thinks to himself, What is so special about this man? So at the end of the day, this Butcher closes the store and gets ready to go home but picks some meat up before he leaves. Musa (AS) begins to follow this man until he reaches his home and says to him, "Will you not take a traveler as a guest?" The Butcher says, "Why not, come in."

So Musa enters the home and starts to observe this man and he sees that the man takes the meat from the store and begins to wash it and cook it. After he cooks it, the man puts the meat on a plate. Right after that the man takes a basket from a high shelf in that room and brings it down. He takes a cloth and takes out an old frail lady from the basket, and he puts her in his arms like a father would put his baby in his arms. He begins to wipe this old frail lady, and than takes some meat, puts it in his mouth and chews it and than puts it in the mouth of this old frail lady. Every time the lady finished, he wipes the cloth and cleans her with it. Musa is continuously watching this and when the man finishes, he cleans her, puts her back in the basket and than puts the basket back in the high shelf.

While Musa was observing this, he saw two things: the man was attentive to her and the fact that every time he would put some food in her mouth, she would whisper something. So Musa asked the man, "Who is this woman to you?" The man says, "She's my MOTHER, and I'm so poor that I'm unable to buy food and other items for her. So I take whatever meat is left from the butcher and I bring it home and cook it for her. My mother is so old and frail that I do not have enough money to have a servant for her or take care of her, so I do everything for her." Musa than asks, "What is it that she mumbles every time you put food in her mouth?" The man says, "She prays for me, saying: 'O Allah make my Son the Companion of Musa in Jannah (Heaven)'."

Due to the Dua (Prayer) of The Butcher's Mother, Allah had accepted it and Musa (AS) Shows the Power of the Dua of the Mother.

3 Everlasting Advises

1. If your Mother is alive and present, devote everything you can devote to make her happy. By Allah, from the honorable ways to get closer to Allah and obtain the greatest of success is making your Parents Happy.. Especially your Mother.
So bringing happiness to your mother is one of the greatest reasons for gaining success from Allah, and one of the greatest things that will help you, with the Mercy of Allah in your journey to a Successful Life and After-Life. The few things that could bring your mother happiness could be a phone call where she would be happy just to hear your voice, or if you're able to drive.. treat her like a queen and don't let her ever touch the wheel of the car.
A man came to Ibn Abbas and told him that he killed someone. He said: "O cousin of Rasul Allah, can I repent?" Ibn Abbas replied: "is your mother alive?" the man said, "No." Ibn Abbas said: "O son of my brother, increase asking forgiveness, and in good deeds."... So when Ibn Abbas left, his student Ata' Bin Yassir, asked him, "O cousin of Rasul Allah, I saw that you asked about his mother?" Ibn Abbas said, : "BY ALLAH, I DO NOT KNOW A MORE BELOVED AND CLOSER ACTION TO ALLAH THAN THE RIGHTEOUSNESS TO YOUR MOTHER"..

2. Not one day should pass you that your eyes don't go through the Quran, even if you read part of an ayah (verse). This is a thousand times better for the life of the heart than what you see from movies.

3. Have shame from your Lord, that you start or end your day and didn't pray night prayers (qiyam al-layl) if only 3 rakats. Face the Qiblah, and Pray to Allah 3 Rakats or 2 Rakats with your free will, no one will force you and its not Obligatory. Make it a provision for you in this world, and provision for you in the grave, and provision for you the day you meet Allah in the Hereafter. Allah says in the holy book, "And worship Him a portion of the night and glorify Him through the Livelong Night (76:26)". The Prophet (SAW) used to say in his sujuud "O Allah, I seek refuge with your Pleasure from your Anger, and in your Forgiveness from your Punishment, and I seek Refuge in You from You.. Cant count your Praises, You are as you have Praised yourself."
We all have seen the Pleasures in the West, and how people act towards it. May Allah protect us all from the forbidden pleasures, even the pleasures that are allowed, because THERE IS NO PLEASURE EVER GREATER THAN THE PLEASURE OF THE SUJUUD TO ALLAH. Allah has said to his Prophet (SAW) : "And put your trust in the All Mighty and Merciful, who sees you when you stand up to pray and your movements in prayer amongst those who Prostrate." So that it's known that it doesn't compare to any pleasure from one situation.
Let's say someone died on an action he was prostrating to Allah in his prayer. He will be washed prostrating to his Lord, Prayed on while he's prostrating to his Lord, Put in the grave prostrating to his Lord and on the Day of Resurrection, He will be Resurrected prostrating to his Lord. There is no Noble way to be in front of your lord better than in Sujuud to him saying "Glory be to my Lord, The Most High." Glorifying his Creator, and knowing with all certainty that Allah does not need him, but seeks a means to Allah through his prostration to him closer to Allah .

"If Allah Brings you closer to Him, and Loved you. Allah will make Everything in this Life Easy for You."
