Give a Helping Hand

One day, a wealthy rider came across a peasant. He saw not his face, only the ragged clothes he was wearing. He passed him by, and then came across another man, a wealthy man. The ride thought to himself, "Shame, for this wealthy man to be walking on the same path as such a destitute man. I will offer him a ride. "He stopped his horse, and offered his services. The wealthy man asked the rider to describe the poor man. After the rider described him, the wealthy man said, "You are the poor one, my rider." He walked on. The rider, curious, followed him. Upon seeing the poor man, the wealthy man embraced him. He gave him all of his material wealth, and sat and laughed with the poor man.
The poor man was now wealthy, and the wealthy now poor. The rider asked the now-poor man, "Why do you give him your wealth?". "It was not my wealth, nor is it now his. It all belongs to Allah. He has greater need of it, and so I gave it to him." "Does he now owe it to you?" the rider asked. "No, I relieve him of such an obligation. Instead, he will give his wealth to someone in greater need when they need it." The rider asked them both, "Why do you both treat each other as such? Do you even know each other's name?' "No." They both replied. "Have you met before?" "No" They replied again. "Then why?" "For we are both Muslims." They replied. "What difference does that make?" The man asked. One man replied, "For he believes in one and only Allah. For he knows that it is to him that we shall return, and that he has created all. For he knows that all mankind is but one family, and that we are brothers in it." Upon hearing this, the rider dismounted and gave his horse to them both, asking for their forgiveness for his behavior.
Story was by Hisham Zoubeir (Dec 26 1997)

I chose the title because there is a young brother who needs all of our help. If we can't help with our wealth, the least we can do is pray for the young brother or spread the word inshallah. Prayers are the weapons of the believers which goes straight to The Almighty Allah (SWT) and every Dua is responded to one way or another.
The young brother's name is Adam Jama and you can read more about his story by CLICKING HERE, and you can also donate on that website as well.

I now leave you with a short ten minute clip of the Forgotten Deed and the benefits it has to give Charity.

My Inspiration

My Inspiration comes from a Shaykh who is on the other side of the planet in Saudi Arabia. If you look at majority of my blog posts, they are advises from him or stories told by him. He is a master of Tafseer of the Quran and he is the Imam of Masjid Quba in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

His name is Sheikh Salih Bin 'Awad Al Mughamisi.

The very few lectures of his that I watched. I learned from how to Soften the Heart, how to attain the love of Allah (SWT), and the blessings of Islam that is bestowed on us. There is so much I could say but just Youtube "Saleh Maghamsi" and you would see what I'm talking about.

I'll leave you with two videos of a preview to see what I am talking about.

Where Love Comes From: The Heart.

In a Hadith, The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:
"Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body, if it becomes good (i.e, reformed), the whole body becomes good, but if it get spoilt, the whole body gets spoilt, and that is the Heart." (Bukhari)

Hearts are inconstant: they change each hour like a feather blown by the wind turning it upside-down. Our heart condition now is different from the one we have had an hour ago, and it will be certainly different after and hour and so on. Hearts are naturally 'inconstant' because of their changeable nature.

We as human beings tend to complain that our Hearts are not at rest. That our Hearts are in pain; worrying about life, children and everything else. There is but a sol cure for all these things and I will start with my first advice.
Allah says in the Quran"
"Verily in the Remembrance of Allah do Hearts find Rest" (13:28)

Our Hearts will not find rest unless we remember Allah. If we want our Hearts to find rest and filled with goodness, and not caring for earthly troubles whatsoever then we should fill our Hearts with the Remembrance of Allah.

My second advice comes from a Dua which The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said the most
Oh Turner of the Hearts, keep our Hearts firm on Your Religion
O Turner of the Hearts, Keep Our Hearts firm on Your Religion.

Lastly, I will leave you with a short lecture from Shaykh Saleh Maghamsi advising those who want to Soften their Hearts.
